At the end of summer 2016 Carter Roberts was admitted to the PICU with meningitis like symptoms. Within 24 hours he fell unresponsive and was intubated. A day later he was fully paralyzed from the neck down. Despite being a healthy fully immunized toddler he was diagnosed 6 days later with a rare polio-like illness called Acute Flaccid Myelitis. This all resulted in a 200 day hospital stay. Carter remains paralyzed from and dependent on everyone for his care and a ventilator to breath. He has a long road to possible recovery. We are raising money for a ramp to go in and out of the house and a Tobii eye gaze device. His story and updates can be followed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/CarterRobertsCoalition/
