While driving to her doctor appointment on July 13, 2016, Michele was involved in a serious car accident.
A stolen vehicle in pursuit by police struck her van and resulted in Michele having a broken hip & foot. She has had surgery and will spend 3 months in a rehabilitation center. Expected recovery time is one year.
Here's where she needs our help:
Her daughter, Chelacie, (her youngest child and the last one to marry) is getting married on August 20, in Salt Lake City, UT, which is 6 hours from where Michele lives. It would tear Michele up not to be there. Michele's attitude has been so positive & hopeful, being able to make it to the wedding will help continue this positivity which is so critical to her full recovery.
In order for Michele to get there, she needs:
*Handicapped van rental
*Lift chair
*Accommodations for lodging (handicapped hotel room. She will not be able to stay with family as planned)
*Reclining wheelchair or power chair (she must keep herself at a 60 degree angle)
*8-10 foot ramp to get the chair in the van
*Various additional durable medical equipment rentals
