Mateo was diagnoised with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on Sept 23, 2013 and fought for 3 years and 3 months. His nickname is "The Beast" for a reason...He is one of the toughest, strongest, kindest, funniest, loving boys I know. And he happens to be my son's best friend too! We celebrated his last treatment on Dec 23, 2016. And we are heartbroken that he relapsed on Sept 6, 2017 in his Central Nervous System and in his bone marrow. Mateo starts another 2 years of treatment...starting with him and his parents staying at CHLA for 4 weeks in patient and then spending the better part of the following 3 months there...so on top of medical bills the Cota family will have a lot of other travel, hotel, and food expenses. They have received so much love, support, and prayers but I know so many people want to do more. Your donation is so appreciated and I know they will continue to need our love and support and help when they come home too! The current score is Mateo 1- Cancer 0 And let the next battle begin...we know the Beast can do it again!!! Thank you!!!!
