Savannah is a sweet, incredibly strong 9 year old. She was diagnosed in January, 2016 with Osteosarcoma - bone cancer - in her right arm, and on her lungs. She endured 9 months of chemotherapy, 2 lung surgeries, and major, first of its kind surgery to replace the affected bone in her arm with bone from her leg. On February 2nd 2017, Savannah and her family received a "No Evidence of Metastatic Disease" report and their prayers were answered.
Going forward Savannah requires years of physical therapy. She lost her bicep and tricep muscles, and 5cm of radial nerve in her right (dominant) arm. She also suffered tendon and ligament damage in her donor leg. She currently uses a wheelchair or crutch to aid in her movement until the therapy restores full use of her leg.
The cost of Savannah's PT is overwhelming. Each session is $75 and she requires 3 sessions/week for 3-5 years. The family's health insurance only covers 20 sessions per year, leaving them to pay for 136 sessions (each year) out of pocket.
This financial burden, while worrisome and overwhelming for the Partridge family is not impossible if friends and family join in to help. Please consider contributing to Savannah's PT costs. And if you're unable to give, please keep her in your prayers.
Thank you.
