TEAM Charlie’s Angels will be running 13.1 miles for Charlie at the Smuttynose Half Marathon on Sunday, 10/6. Charlie is the most amazing little girl whose strength and determination has inspired Charlie’s Angels to train for this half marathon. In July 2018, Charlie was diagnosed with Acute Transverse Myelitis (ATM). This diagnosis caused severe swelling in Charlie’s brain stem and spinal cord leaving her paralyzed from the neck down. Since being first diagnosed, Charlie, supported by her parents, Becky Conway and Trevor MacNeil and their families, has fought hard. She continues to make progress against all odds and keeps proving her doctors wrong by making strides in ways medical professionals had said she wouldn’t. Charlie’s parents care for her in their home, but it is challenging to financially meet Charlie’s medical needs. TEAM Charlie’s Angels run for Charlie to bring TM to the public eye and to ask for support for Charlie’s family as Charlie continues to persevere with medical assistance. To support our TEAM and Charlie’s cause, please consider making a donation.
