As everyone probably knows, Kanishka did not want a funeral. He did ask that at some point we get together to celebrate with food, drinks and music he liked, and to share stories and talk about something "more substantive than how good his hair looked." We are expecting about 250 people to attend Kanishka's Memorial on October 7, possibly more. Hosting an event for this many people in New York costs a lot of money and we are asking everyone that has wondered how they can help to consider making a donation to help cover the cost of the event. All the funds raised will be used for the event. If there is any money left over, it will be donated to the ACLU.
