In Memory of Linda Stiles Fox
Linda lost her hard fought battle with Carcinoid Cancer on November 27, 2018. She passed peacefully resting in the arms of her husband William (Bill) O Fox, her husband of 30 years. Linda was born April 9th 1949 to Harley R Stiles and Mae P Stiles in Worcester, Massachusetts. Linda spent most of her younger years in Peoria, Illinois where she attended Richwood’s High School and met her closest friend Noreen Freidman of 50 years, who years later would be known to the family as her sister and Aunt Noreen.
Linda is survived by her loving husband Bill, her oldest son Doug Terrell and wife Kristina, daughter Kimberly Fox and Cory Booth, daughter Karyn Burns and husband Tadd and daughter Sandra Fox. 14 grandchildren - Heather Atkinson, Valerie Terrell, Kaylee Terrell, Ryan Terrell, Aaron Terrell, Billy Fox, Brittnee Fox, Danielle Tobias, Angeline Terrell, Samantha Tobias, Joanna Tobias, Owen Fox, Harley Burns, and Hunter Fox along with 5 great grandchildren. Linda was preceded by the death of her son, Michael Allen Terrell and granddaughter, Alana Hope.
Linda had many passions along the road of life. First, she adored being a mother and loved her friends like family. She most importantly has always had her faith. Throughout her life, she had never been far away from her local church. She could be found working in the front office or delivering the bible school messages.
In her home town of Peoria, she was an animal rights activist where she worked tirelessly to raise money and save the lives of animals at the local SPCA. She was always an avid dancer from the time she could walk and participated in many events as a child. Later as an adult she toured with her Dance troupe, and performed the Production of “Anything Goes” to a packed audience. Linda may have been the most proud of the time she performed with the dance legend Peggy Ryan.
Linda was a Radio Personality for many years after moving to California in the Victor Valley where she was an account executive, copy writer and on-air personality, spinning the hottest vinyl records in numerous genres. She later met her biggest fan, William Fox, who became her lifelong partner. They were married just a few short years later. Linda, while in radio met, and soon became the big sister to, her friend Cory Baker.
Linda and her family later relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked and managed many different offices in the medical field. She was an avid author from the time she caught the bug as a teenager. Linda, with support from her husband Bill, recently published some of her life’s work, including “A Cabin in Woods”, “Reflections of the Heart”, “Santa's Little Secret” and “Never Too Late”. She also penned two novels, "Forever Again” and her latest "Forever Begins", first two of the unfinished Island Love Trilogy. She is a Co-founder of the “Coffee House Tours” in Las Vegas Nevada where she helped to promote local authors while they presented their works to the public.
Linda’s message to those she left behind:
“Family is the only thing that lasts forever! Family is forever. Tomorrow is not promised. You can't change the decisions you've made...right or wrong...you can only learn from them. Sometimes, you don't get to say good-bye...even to those you've loved the most!”
The Memorial service will be held at the Hope Church 850 E Cactus Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89183. Saturday December 15th at 3:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you contribute to the “Linda Stiles Fox Memorial Fund”.
