To everyone who may not know about Aiyana's journey she has been a blessing to many and a walking testimony for others. She has had 3 heart transplants lost the sight in her right eye due to a sinus infection but, more importantly is passionate about art, music, and helping others. On October 3rd 2018 she went into surgery for a regular catheterization of her heart to find out what was going on because of other complications that had developed over the past year. Sadly, during the procedure doctors discovered she needed a stent to help blood flow to her heart and this heart developed the same coronary disease as she previous had. After the procedure was over of the stent placement she went into cardiac arrest and was giving CPR for 70 mins and placed on life support . Due to the coronary disease the only way to save her is to receive another transplant but, because she is so weak and her other organs are damaged from the cardiac arrest she was denied another heart transplanted. We are doing everything possible to make Aiyana happy and comfortable while we wait on the Lord to heal her or call her home.
As we plan her "Live Again" service we will keep everyone update who wishes to attend of location and date. What we have been through as a family is beyond comprehension to what some may imagine but with the love, prayers, and support we have from all you we will get through this as well. Understandably, we are concerned about Aiyana but also her best friend and sister Madison so we want to make sure things go as smoothly as possible and it be a celebration of life for her to remember.
We have had numerous emails, texts and messages from people asking how to help, so this campaign has been created as a way to keep everyone up-to-date with plans, and also offer a place for messages and donations to be left. A lot of people have asked do we have life insurance on her but unfortunately, because she was born with a life threatening illness she hasn't been approved for any insurance policy.
If you would like to donate, just click on the donate button and donate whatever you can. If you are not able to donate don’t forget you can still leave messages and comments as well as there are other ways to help when that time comes for us to celebrate her life.
She is currently in the hospital fighting to see another day in hopes to get better. But, she says needs to talk to God for answers because this is a pain she has never felt before.
To keep up with her please visit her Instagram page @aiyanastesimony. Do not leave any negative or sad comments on her page we are only encouraging her and supporting her journey as she does read her comments and replies to the inbox.
If anyone has any questions, you can send me a message.
Grace and Peace!
