Our beloved Zara Blay
UPDATE (1/11/19): Darling Zara didn't even have a chance to zap cancer... she was cruelly taken from this world much too soon. Please continue to donate and spread the word about this fund, which will go directly towards hospital bills the Blay family still has to pay, as well as funeral expenses.

(As many of you are now aware, 3 1/2 year old Zara was just diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Over the last 2 days she has received five blood transfusions for low hemoglobin and platelets, a bone marrow biopsy, PICC line placed (long term IV), spinal tap, and started with chemo.
Zara is currently on the Pediatric Oncology floor at Johns Hopkins, so she is receiving world-class care. However, her parents Kim & Vit have a Health Savings Account with a very high deductible they have to reach before their insurance kicks in, plus Kim might have to quit her job to be available to take Zara for treatments. Therefore, this crowdfunding campaign has been initiated to help with Zara's medical bills.
For those of you who know Kim and Vit, they are ALWAYS raising money for worthy causes, such as the recent 10K and 5K they ran in to support Alex's Lemonade Stand, the National Down Syndrome Society, and the Arthritis Foundation. PLEASE support them now to help their little girl fight cancer. Every little bit helps... thank you in advance!!)

UPDATE: I'm increasing the goal one more time! :) We've received such a positive response that I want to keep the momentum going! THANK YOU AGAIN for your support & continuing to spread the word about Zara's cancer treatment!! Together, we'll make 2019 a little bit brighter for the Blay family :)

Lisa, thanks so much for your encouraging words and support! Zara is definitely a fighter and Kim & Vit are wonderfully supportive parents so I know Zara has the best chance possible of getting better. Thank you for your prayers!
