About a month and a half ago, Ripley lost her appetite. For anyone who knows our dog, she is a glutton. We took her to the vet for her loss of appetite and the developing symptom of persistent gas, and were given a probiotic and sent on our way.
Fast forward to yesterday morning, Ripley began vomiting, unable to eat any food. Her normal personality of excitable and active dog shot to the ground, lethargic, in apparent discomfort, and seeking our comfort.
Our normal vet being unavailable due to Covid-19, we had to seek out an emergency veterinarian. They diagnosed her with Pancreatitis as well as what appears to be an obstruction within her stomach. Said obstruction has yet to be determined. She has since been admitted to the vets for monitoring and to discern what it is inside her that's causing such issue.
But as they yet do not know what it is, surgery is still a possibility. The costs are mounting and are finances are hard pressed.
Ripley has meant a lot to us as a family, and has helped us through some of our worst times.
She has brightened the days of many of our friends and loved ones with her people loving personality, and eagerness to play. Any assistance towards helping Ripley get better would be greatly appreciated!
