Help Hattie!
Hattie spent the last several days in animal control in severe pain. She had very minimal use of her front legs. I rescued her this morning from being killed at Animal Control. She is currently at the vet awaiting a couple of tests and resting on pain medication. She may have a long road ahead of her. We need your help to fund her medical expenses. Anything that is not used for Hattie will be used for future animals like her. My family and I will be fostering Hattie until she is ready for a forever home. Thank you so much to anyone who finds it in their heart to donate.
Latest Update
I just left Hattie at the vet for her first round of heartworm treatment. I was so sad. It felt like dropping your kid off on their first day of daycare or school. I rubbed her head and talked to her the whole way. I could just see it on her face that she was scared. I felt helpless not being able to reassure her that she was ok. I tried. I know she has been through a lot. Please keep this girl in your thoughts and prayers. Friday cannot come fast enough. I am just praying she stays strong and fights these nasty things off. This is why prevention is so important. We love you Hattie! Thank you all. I will keep everyone updated on her progress through the week. I already miss her. We will see you soon sweet girl. 💙

Hattie Mae is an amazing dog. She is very patient, calm, and quiet. There are many scars around the back of her neck and head. I feel like her eyes tell me a story. I know that she has been through hell. She would sit in between my legs, right under me when she was nervous. She has the sweetest, most crooked smile. Her lip sometimes gets caught on her underbite. It is the type of character that I adore. She does walk like her bones have seen many days sleeping on a hard surface or ground. I am amazed by her appreciation she shows to life. She is so loving. 💙 Unfortunately her battle is not over. She tested positive for heartworms. She will have to go through a long and trying recovery. She needs prayers, warm thoughts, and positive vibes for this girl. The treatment also costs a good bit. This girl already has my heart. I will keep everyone updated! Thank you for donating! It means the world to us!
