On November 15,2019 at 11:32am Spike crossed over the rainbow bridge. I would like to say thank you to everyone for helping us. I appreciate your kindness.
Spike is a 12 1/2 year old poodle mix. He has been my beloved furbaby since the day he was born. This past April he had to have his back leg amputated due to being diagnosed with osteosarcoma.
But he didn't let that stop him. Later that night he got up and was walking around. Within a few days he was back to his loving self. I was so happy to see he was going to be ok.
But then the end of August he came down with a cough. I honestly didn't think anything about it. But after a few days it didn't go away. I made an appointment with his vet. The x-rays showed a small nodule near his lung lobe.
He's been on prednisolone since September. And he was eating drinking water and going out to potty and playing like normal.
The vet said I will notice the changes in him. But as long as he's eating drinking and not having accidents inside. That meant he wasn't ready to go.
A few days ago he was put on pain medicine. But I'm noticing he's not wanting to eat or drink water as much as he was last week. We don't play anymore. But I hold him and tell him I love him everyday just like I always have.
I know I don't have much time left with him. And I don't want to see him suffer. But I can't afford to do what I know I have to to help him cross the rainbow bridge where he will no longer hurt but most of all no longer be suffering.
This is not Something that is going to be easy for me to do. I am falling apart just thinking about it. But my ❤️ is breaking knowing that he's suffering. This is why I am reaching out to you. Can you please find it in your hearts to help me help my baby not suffer anymore.
Anything is appreciated. And anything helps. Even if it's only a $1.00 and a share so your friends can do the same. And also some prayers. Thank you
