Isabella was adopted from a local rescue and has our heart. She loves with all her heart and makes us laugh with the fact she sucks her tongue when she sleeps! Unfortunately for this sweet girl, Izzy has double luxated patella. The patella in dogs assist in knee extension. If the patella is pulled out of its normal groove with knee extension, like both of Izzy's are, this is called luxating patella. For Izzy this means watching her brother play, limping in pain, no walks, and no jumping. Our hearts break for Izzy. While we wouldn't normally ask, we are hoping to find support for Izzy's needed surgeries and required physical therapy. It appears one leg surgery alone will cost approximately $1,500.00, and Izzy needs both legs done, plus recovery through physical therapy. We are saving, but it's becoming worse quickly and we fear she will need the surgery sooner than we can afford. Any help you can provide would mean the world to us - and most of all to Izzy!
