We adopted Rocket in April. He came to us as the happiest paraplegic amputee you could imagine. But this past week it was apparent something was very wrong. Turns out Rocket needed surgery to correct a neurological issue associated with his paralysis. What was expected to be fairly routine turned out to be much more serious. In order to give him the best shot at survival and comfort, we did what we had to do. Sadly, the $3500 vet bill was SIGNIFICANTLY more than we were expecting initially.
