Help The Shelter Pups!
On August 12-17, 2014 I will be embarking on an epic adventure running the TransRockies Run (www.transrockiesrun.com). 6 days. 120 miles. 20,000 feet of elevation gain. I have a monumental amount of training and hard work ahead of me over the next 12 months to get in shape and be ready for this challenge.
But I don't want it to be all about me...I want to use this adventure to call attention to a cause that is important to me. I will be running in honor of all the dogs and that hope to find a loving family. These pets are living in shelters and deserve all the comforts of home while they wait for their forever family.
My goal is to raise AT LEAST (if not more) $5,000 to benefit Family Dogs New Life Shelter located here in Portland, Oregon. Family Dogs New Life was built on the belief that all dogs deserve a second chance at a new life. Since Family Dogs New Life Shelter began in Feb. 2004 we have placed over 9000 dogs into permanent homes.
