After 32 years teaching over 850 students in Willis ISD, our mom is turning the page and opening a new chapter of her life. She is retiring at the end of the 2016-17 school year. We are excited that she has touched many lives in her career. Now she can enjoy being "Granny" to eight grand children. Her desire is to be involved in the activities at West Conroe Baptist Church, while still providing tutoring services to struggling learners and maybe substituting some (when she needs to revisit what she might be missing). She will be active with the local Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA) and Association of Texas Professional Educators (28 year member), while also serving as an officer in the Delta Kappa chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma (a Society for Key women educators). Our mom is looking forward to what God has in store for her at this exciting time in her career! Her bucket list includes an Alaskan cruise and a train trip on the Rocky Mountaineer. We are hopeful that we can send her and our dad on the trip of a lifetime!
