Two sisters, one cause: making a difference in our community
Every month Mother Nature kicks in and requires us to shell out additional money. However, what would happen if you cannot afford it? As sisters, we want to help less fortunate women in our neighborhood. The cost of being a homeless woman can be quite burdensome, and we would like to help out our proverbial sisters, one hygiene kit at time.
This is where you come in. We want to assemble 200 hygiene kits and donate them to the Women's Shelter of Long Beach http://www.womenshelterlb.org/. We figured each of these "little bags of blessings" costs about $12 and includes: a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, comb, shampoo, conditioner, tampon/pad, panty liner, hygiene wipe, bar of soap/body wash, deodorant, hand sanitizer, lotion, and a nail file.
Any amount of donation is greatly appreciated
