Donations sent are 100% tax deductible and there are no administration fees. All personnel are non paid volunteers. All $ goes straight to gasoline, camping fees, etc. For 16 years I've sponsored an annual camping trip for Special Needs College/SrHi students. I can no longer do this out of pocket but can still supervise. I hope these intelligent people can continue to broaden their horizons. I have the backing of Hide Park Church of Christ and have drivers. We go to Garner State Park in June and other day outings throughout the year. Trips like this are not possible without help. We pair up one wheelchair bound, blind, deaf, and other college student with each 12-18 year old who are partners. The college students are the maturity and the under are helpers. All have a great time and this is a public state park where they are around all people, not a segregated single campground...

Latest Update

Car was fixed for this years trip with out any funds from plum fund. We went on a two week trip to Garner State Park for a training for the counselors who are College Students with a special challenge. However, we did have day campers who visited and parents who signed up on our mailing list for updates who are willing to volunteer for future outings. We have day trips, one per month. Stay tuned for more updates.

  • Barbara Martin8 years ago This is the annual camping trip I sponsor to take wheelchair; blind; deaf; AB students on; please help this continue if you can. My suv needs a transmission change before Spring Break is over. Insure these young people get to continue all outings.
