Our daughter is the first in the family to attend college. Our family's income is "extremely low" and certain grants were not given to her this semester that would have paid her bills. The reason for this is still being looked into by her school but at this time, we owe $6000+ for her fall semester. Annie's father is disabled and I am worked 2 jobs to help pay for her tuition and support. She will not be able to continue school if her semester fees are not met.

Latest Update

Annie's father is disabled and I am worked 2 jobs to help pay for her tuition and support. In order for her to be able to continue her education, we will have to pay the bill for this semester. We have been told the issues with state and school grants should be resolved next semester and provide us a manageable amount of out of pocket from that point on. Annie graduated from Crosby High School in Crosby, Texas and attends University of Texas of the Permian Basin in Odessa. She is studying Kinesiology. Her goal is to work with special needs children as a physical or occupational therapist or become a high school soccer coach and English teacher. Her degree plan would allow her to pursue either career. Annie is also looking for work part-time to help with her bills. Attending college has been her goal since the 8th grade and we will do anything to keep her in school. It's just that important that she be able to have a good career and live a better life.
