I need your help! I am a musician studying Music Education so that I can pursue my passion of helping children discover the joy of music. On July 14, 2017, I was at my college for a band rehearsal (I play in several jazz and rock bands). While there, much of my music equipment was stolen. In addition to my drum gear, my computer was stolen. I can never recover the priceless photos and original music that I've recorded, but I do need to replace my computer and my music program software, as well as the actual drum equipment in order to be able to go back to school. The equipment will cost about $1200, and the computer and software will be an additional $1800.
This is important to me. I love teaching and watching kids discover music. I have done volunteer teaching at music camps and in schools for the past six years, but I need my equipment to do that. I also need it to continue with my college coursework. Since school starts in about one month, I am panicked. If you value music, would you consider donating so that I can continue my volunteer work and music studies?
As a thank you, I will personally send you an invitation to one of my upcoming performances so that I can thank you in person.
Thanks, for anything you can do.
Evan
