Hi my name is Terrell and I have just graduated from Fort Lauderdale HS’s Cambridge program. Currently, I have been admitted to Wabash College, with the expectations of attending Wabash in the fall semester. In hopes of it becoming a beneficial foundation for my journey to become a cardiovascular surgeon. Over the last few years I have challenged myself with AP and Honors classes, and now I hope to push myself forward to what I I believe will create an essential level of growth to my slightly stable foundation, and help pave a road to a prominent Medical school. When I first started high school I can easily say that I was to some levels misguided in terms of my education, although learning has always come easy to me I have not always pushed myself to my fullest potential. This later added more unneeded tension to my GPA, as I tried to build a more ideal structure on my shaky foundation from my freshman year. During my sophomore year I develop a passion for the arts, the joy of the water, competitions, and biology. Not necessary in that same order. After my father’s heart attack in my junior year, I began to understand my own calling, Medicine. Which lead me to my decision to go to Wabash College being ranked 57 in Princeton Review. Wabash offers a multitude of opportunities to create enough pressure to, in my Dad’s words, “make a diamond” out of me. So here’s where my problem arises; although I was given $25,000 in scholarships and the fact that I will be saving all my earnings from my Lifeguard job during the summer to go towards my tuition, due to my parents’ financial status they are only able to give me minimum support towards my tuition based gap…So I’m asking you for your support.
