Our Granddaughter Bri anna Alcorn has received a Soccer Athletic Scholarship to Southwestern College in Winfield. Kansas. Even though she will be receiving funds for some of her schooling she will need a lot more funds for living expense and more.
Mom, Raquel has always been the sole provider for Bri and her sister Marissa. She has worked very hard to make ends meet while supporting the girls through the years with soccer and softball teams fees, equipment, and much more. Raquel is hoping to apply for loans to help Bri and even will try to find a smaller and cheaper apartment for her and Marissa. She now has a two bedroom apartment that costs $985.00 per month.
For the past two years, Bri has worked at Heritage Palms Country Club as a golf cart attendant while going to College of the Desert. She saves as much as of her paychecks as she can. Bri does not drive or have a car of her own, luckily she has a wonderful guy, Adrien, that drives her from home to work and school.
As grandparents we will be contributing as much help as we can. Our wish for Bri is that she start out with enough financial support so as to prevent her from having to worry about how she will make it through the next few years.
This is why I am opening this crowd fund site for Bri.
Bri is an amazing person. Over the years, she has followed the recommendations, advice and guidance of her many coaches. She has worked hard to complete her college courses and to be a great teammate on her college, high school, and many community soccer and softball teams.
We will be saying goodbye to Bri at a going away party on July 16th, 2016. We would love to be able to tell her she won't have to worry about her finances everyday. A small gift of any amount adds up fast on crowd fund.
Thank you for looking at our crowd fund for Bri.
