Started by: Luis Gutierrez
My name is Luis Gutierrez and I'm Victor's Dad. He is a student at Washington and Jefferson College in PA and it is his last year (2 semesters to go).
He used to work over the summer in cape cod as a lobsterman. A very hard work with long hours. Not able to have fun during his summer vacation. He helped me to pay his tuition. Everything was well. Between his summer job, financial aid, some goverment loads and my bonuses we manage to pay the rest of his tuition. This summer 2016 he wanted to stay home and work locally so he can have quality time with us. Everything we planned was perfect but one thing was not in our plans The company that I was working was bought by another one. My comp plan and my weekly salary got cut 50% and I was not able to reach my budget as they increased it on a 50% more from the one that I exceed and became not reachable as well as Victor summer Job was a different pay. Much lower than last summer job. He could not save as he was giving me money to complete the rent or pay the car bill or the insurance. All our savings were used to survive this transaction since Nov 2015. I do not want him to stop studying as he is doing so well and its only 2 semester left. He has also a job at the college as a barista at the college cafeteria but what he will earn will be more for gas or personal toiletry etc. as the only works no more than 20 hours so doesnt interfier with his studies and his games and practices as he also plays for the Ice Hockey college team and it will be his last one. I need 10,000 for both semester including the books. We need to pay her tuition if not he wont be able to continue and go back home which is frustrating as the best thing parents can do for their kids is a college degree.
So, this GoFundMe page is to help raise enough to pay off his two semesters and help him graduate.
He is an amazing son and he has being working really hard at his studies while going through all of this hardship. As he has come all this way, he deserves any help and any donations will be very much appreciated!
Thank you very much!!
