SUDDEN TRAGIC DEATH OF A YOUNG WOMAN HAS STUNNED HER FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

Ekaterina ‘Katya’ Chernykh 27 is the only daughter of Mr. Andrew & Mrs. Svetlana Chernykh. Katya was an amazing singer, artistically talented, individual who tragically passed away from a fatal car crash.

Ekaterina Cherynkh, of Bridgeport, CT was pronounced dead at the scene Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 1:26 p.m. in New Jersey. The other rear-seat passenger her cousin Anatoly Kligler, a 31-year-old Matawan man, was severely hurt and unconscious. Ekaterina was the right-rear passenger in one of the vehicles hit by the Land Rover and was ejected from the Honda Accord she was in.

This sudden tragic death has stunned everyone who knew her and those who did not, leaving many in disbelief of her passing.

With a beautiful and delicate soul, Katya was full of life and transmitted this energy to everyone around her. She didn't have an enemy in the world. She was an ambitious young woman with dreams of becoming a Fashion designer and singer. She had a life ahead of her that she will never get to accomplish. She didn’t deserve to die in this manner.

Being a first-generation child of two immigrant parents from Russia who spoke little English, Katya was the only person her parents could depend on. Her parents confided in her, not only as an interpreter, but as someone whom they trusted with their life decisions in America. On a daily basis, Katya introduced her parents to American traditions and standards in hopes of helping them adapt to a culture that is quite different from theirs. Majority, if not all, of the Chernykh family are in Russia.

Many of Katya’s friends admired her for supporting her immigrant parents at the extent that she did, especially for her age. Katya was tremendously involved in the lives of her parents that, at times, she had to make sacrifices of living her own young life for the sake of helping them with theirs. She was selfless with her parents and friends.

While working full-time in a dental office, Katya was working on her fashion portfolio in efforts in completing a degree at the New York Institute of Art and Design. Her artwork, creativity and perseverance were surely going to get her accepted and enrolled. Among her love for fashion, she was an artist and aspiring singer. Her presence and voice was a light to all.

Her family and friends are emotionally coming together to help her parents through this tragic ordeal. Please donate to Katya's funeral expenses in hopes of commemorating her precious life. Any donations will ease the financial burden that her family will incur.
