It is our goal to welcome Anton into this world with the brightest possible future.

 

Many have asked if I have a gift registry or how can they give. If you are considering giving anything at all, contributing here is the best gift you could make for my new wonderful family. This is an amazing and unique gift of life for the future.

 

So what is cord blood and tissue banking? Blood and tissue is taken from the umbilical cord and put in cold storage. Stem cells from the blood and tissue can be replicated into new biomatter that matches Anton. This makes possible treatment for a host of otherwise untreatable diseases, from cancers to blood diseases to immune disorders. Anton has already been diagnosed with a minor heart issue and I worry he may inherit my immune issues. In the future who knows what could be made possible with cord and tissue blood banking. I would love for the possibility to treat those or possibly other diseases for him if need be.

The kit arrived! (To be clear: we haven't yet reached our goal for cord blood and tissue banking, and only partially met the amount for blood banking only. We are billed when the blood is collected.)
