Aloha Bishop and surrounding area ohana(family). Hula Halau O Koru is asking for your kokua. Kokua is a Hawaiian word, that translates as "extending loving, sacrificial help to others for their benefit, not for personal gain..."
We have been invited to not only participate but to open the 2nd Annual Aloha Festival in Reno on August 26th. We are thrilled and delighted to participate in this event and we are asking for your help to get us there. These gracious ladies dedicate much time to learning hula and sharing the aloha throughout the community. You may have seen them at the Bishop Care Center, The Elks Annual Luau, The Rotary Club, the Bishop Community Park on Mondays or perhaps some other charitable event around town like Earth Day, the Christmas Parade or Children's Walk for Ronald McDonald House. These ladies volunteer their time and talents to bring a little aloha here to the Eastern Sierra. Show your aloha for these ladies by making a donation to help with their expenses for travel, food and lodging to Reno for this really great event. Let's all "Share The Aloha"!
Mahalo nui loa for your help.
