Mission to Haiti
This March, our team of occupational therapists will be traveling to Port-au-Prince, Haiti for 1 week of service, which sounds like a short period of time but we hope to accomplish a lot with your help!
Our main goal for this trip is not only to complete assessments and set up treatment plans for the special needs children in Haiti, but to establish a therapy routine and educate an aide that can follow through with our treatment plans once we leave! Our mission is to raise $2,400 to pay for a full time rehab tech that can provide therapy to the special needs children at New Life Children’s Home for the next YEAR. Right now, these children receive little to no therapy and their quality of life is what suffers. Many end up with lifelong physical ailments that could have been prevented with therapy and others are left in their cribs all day with no toys to play with, no way to develop properly and no one to help them. With your donation, it is possible for us to directly impact the lives of the less fortunate and provide them with the help that they desperately need on daily basis.
