If you love skiing and you’re interested increasing access to the sport, consider supporting Go Ahead Shred, a high school ski and snowboard club. A partnership with Squaw-based non-profit SkiDUCK enabled us to give 20 low-income students, most of whom had never seen snow, a completely free day on the slopes last season. While Squaw donates lift tickets, rentals, and even lessons, they do not to provide transportation from the Bay Area to the mountains. We are currently raising money to give 25 students the bus ticket they need to get up to the mountain and shredding for our first trip of the season on December 16th.
$5 or $10 helps significantly in paying for a student’s $50 bus ticket.
Thanks so much!
