Naoto Matsumura has dedicated his life to the animals of Fukushima. He lives alone in his town deserted after the 2011 earthquake sent residents fleeing a nuclear power plant meltdown. He is only able to feed and care for the animals who were abandoned and left behind with money donated by supporters. He is still going strong 4 years later but needs donations and support to continue his wonderful mission. Plumfund will donate all profits back to Mr. Matsumura's work. Thank you for supporting this animal hero!

Plumfund has been directly in touch with Mr. Matsumura and has sent the first wire to his Toho Bank account on April 27th, 2015. Mr. Matsumura confirmed he received the funds. The next wire will go out once more funds have been raised.

It warms my heart to see such a loving and caring man!!! These animals would be lost without him!!! Please donate to help Mr Matsumura!!!!

I had the wonderful opportunity to write a blog post about the Guardian of Fukushima Plumfund campaign I started (with my awesome Plumfund team) earlier this year. This post is a part of a series produced by the Huffington Post and Plumfund. I was so honored to be able to share his story and am thrilled at the prospect of more people learning about his amazing life, and possibly donating to his cause. Here is the blog post if you would like to read: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/plumfund/the-guardian-of-fukushima_b_8525312.html

A wonderful, caring person..........

We are so happy to report that we are getting close to reaching our goal! Thank you to everyone who has generously donated! I have been in close touch with Mr. Matsumura and he is very thankful to everyone who has donated!! He has mentioned on numerous occasions that the donations are paying for food for his animals. To keep everyone in the loop, Plumfund sent the second wire last month and we plan to send the third wire once we have reached our goal. We are getting close so please keep spreading the word and sharing with your community. Thank you again to everyone!!! Cheers, Christine and the Plumfund Team
