My daughter is a hard worker for the Hot Springs, AR School District. She has been there for 11 years as administrative assistant to the school superintendent. The superintendent just informed her that the stipend she has been getting for the past 2 years ($200/mo) for work above and beyond her job description is being eliminated. They will not consider a merit raise, despite a glowing performance review because the district is also financially strapped.

She is 8 weeks pregnant now and her husband makes only minimum wage. Most of his income pays his delinquent child support for a child before he married our daughter. Mina pays all of the household expenses from her income. We have allowed her to borrow our 2nd vehicle, which has now broken down and left her without any sort of transportation. Her own vehicle was completely destroyed 3 years ago when an ice storm caused a tree to plow completely through the car front to back. We cannot afford to repair the car we loaned to her and she can't either.

She made in 2015 according to her W2 $33,675.24. That amount breaks down to $2,802 15 per month or $651.16 per week. Today she was told that, while she can take 12 weeks of leave for the baby in accordance with the Family Medical Leave Act, those 12 weeks are unpaid. Those 12 weeks will amount to $7,819.82 just to break even. As her parents we are making an appeal to anyone out there who would consider helping us fund that 12 weeks, which comes to $7,819.92. If we could go past that, she might be able to pay at least some of the medical bills also, which we anticipate to run approximately $5,000. She is desperate and can find no solution. They have no savings, no transportation, barely get the rent paid. Her father and I are both disabled (he has both Multiple Sclerosis and Atherosclerosis and I have severe back problems). We are both in our sixties and unable to assist them financially. Is there anyone out there who could help a desperate high risk pregnant wife? She is 33 and has Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and severe Restrictive Airway Disease. She also has a non working thyroid and anticipates real problems with this pregnancy. She has already suffered a miscarriage. This is her first (and her only chance) of having a baby due to the PCOS. It was extremely unlikely that she would be able to get pregnant at all due to the PCOS so this is almost a miracle already. Could we get help from crowdfunding to make this miracle happen? Please????
