The last two years has dragged me through most people's worst fears of medical, financial and legal hardship a person can possibly face on this crazy planet. Due to the medical bills from my Thyroid Cancer (that I am still battling everyday), Wyoming Medical Center and many other offices began legal proceedings to take everything I own which includes a piece of land that I own with my sisters, has been in my family since 1940 and that my father's ashes are located on. In order to save the family land that is all I have left in the world, I filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy and had to move into a very primitive cabin on land (to claim the homestead exemption in bankruptcy you must occupy residence). I have worked full time taking care of others as a massage therapist running my business throughout my whole cancer with no assistance from government as I was turned down for everything I applied for. I just needed a break and so I have gone down to two days a week of work because of this, however right when I desperately need a warm place to rest and not worry, I have been working like a dog the last two months trying to make this drafty dilapidated cabin inhabitable. It is hard to heal and rest when you are constantly worried about money and how you will survive. I do not have enough wood our pellets to make it through winter. I can't get my solar generator to work correctly. I live with no electricity or water and even with the stove I had installed I'm usually freezing. Needless to say its got me pretty depressed and hopeless that this is what getting cancer looks like in our country. Having everything you care about threatened and taken from you and ending up working even harder when you should be resting. I am so exhausted I can barely see straight. I feel like my body and spirit are dying. I can't even explain how heart broken, discouraged and hopeless I feel most days especially knowing most people are too busy or caught up in their own lives to even care about me or my situation. And I hate asking for help but I'm drowning here like a sinking ship with too many holes and not enough buckets to bail the water out. I'm too tired to work more days as my hands are getting arthritis from massage and I can't sell what's left of anything I have worth anything during a bankruptcy, so if you can spare any funds as a gift in this hard time to me to help I am every grateful. This is my S. O. S. so I can buy more pellets for my stove, maybe a snowblower and eventually I would like to work on an online herbal degree that is $1500 because my hands and body are not strong enough to continue in my current career. Just knowing the money is there is an emergency or for more supplies would help me to finally relax, heal and buy a few more things that might make my little off grid cabin adventure more sane and comfortable. Thank you for your time, funds and compassion.
