A lot of folks have sufferred from the effects of the recent fires. It's been devastating for so many including my younger sister Adrienne, her partner Pete and their little one Beatrice.
Monday night after a warning from our brother about the fires, they drove away in their vehicles with a couple of changes of clothes and their lives. Just a moment ago it was confirmend, that their home burned in the Santa Rosa Tubbs fire.
They are in shock and of course emotionally devistated. What happens next?
As a young family they rely heavily on Peter's tools collected over three generations to provide income and they were all lost in the Tubbs fire. Peter's job site burned as well. Very basic necessities such as shoes and beds, all lost. Beatrice's books and blocks and crib and high chair. All of the things things that babies need, gone. They've lost furniture and dishes, it's hard even for me to wrap my brain around but all of the items that meet basic needs are gone. Including, of course, a roof over their heads.
I'm raising funds to help them find footing amidst this chaos. I'd like to help them find a home and be able to purchase clothing, beds, sheets, pillows and blankets, shoes, coats, plates and chairs... the little things that a family needs to maintain health and dignity. If you are able, any contribution is so greatly appreciated.
Much love & stay safe,
Gretchen
