Shelley has been diagnosed with Bilateral breast cancer with lymph node involvement both sides. She will be undergoing a double mastectomy on May 29, 2017.
As much as the surgery and some procedures are covered by health care, Shelley cannot work and will have many other costs to deal with.
I have started this fundraiser to help her get through her recovery until she is able to work again and be independent.
Shelley has to pay for respite care after her surgery, her mortgage, hydro, all her living expenses, care for the dogs, care for her property. It's hard enough to battle cancer, but with all this to deal with too, it's very stressful.
If you wish to help in some way, but cannot assist with a monetary donation, please go to Shelley's Caring Bridge site for a list of other things that would be extremely helpful. There is also a budget on the site outlining the costs that Shelley has per month.
