This is our Dear Sweet Angel, Kaylee Marie. She was born three months premature. Kaylee has proven to be a fighter and that life is a gift she cherishes. This past August, Kaylee started having difficulty using her Passey Muir valve. She uses this valve to communicate with us. We took Kaylee to her ENT, who performed a scope on her and found that right above her stoma site , her throat was beginning to collapse. Kaylee's airway opening is the size of the end of an pencil eraser. By the end of November, Kaylee will only be able to breath through her trach and unable to talk due to full collapse. She must go to Cincinnati, Ohio to have reconstruction throat surgery done. This is coming at a very bad time for our family!! My husband is being laid off since the plant is shutting down and he is looking for another job. We must take her twice to Cincinnati. First is for the pre-surgery testing, then we must go down a second time for her surgery. They will be taking a bone from Kaylee's rib and placing it into her throat to reconstruct her airway and reopen it. Then Kaylee will be put into a 10 day coma to heal since this is such a painful procedure. Then three weeks of healing time before she is released. We have no money for the u haul we will need to haul all of her medial equipment in when we take her down and back (her medical supplies, her vent, her vest machine, her 02 tanks, her food and feeding supplies, diapers, etc.). Ronald McDonald House is on a first come first Serve basis for those who ask. We have asked family and they are unable to help us at this time. We also need Money for lodging and gas. We are in dire need of help since our first trip is November 12, 2016. Please help us. She is our angel. Al and Carleen huff, Omaha NE
