Started by: Pam Choi For Albert
On March 9, 2017 Albert Blatcher, our friend and security guard of 16 years was assaulted by a first day, untrained guard. The assailant was extremely aggressive and was declaring himself to be a gang member. Albert received 8 stitches in his head and 2 in his mouth.
Albert was fired two weeks later, (while waiting without pay) for using "excessive force" protecting himself. Albert felt he was dealing with a very dangerous person and was in extreme danger. He was only trying to stop the assailant.
He is now unable to get workman's comp or unemployment due to the security companies' unproven assessment of Albert's response in the situation. (Albert was never even interviewed in person by the company.)
Albert has 3 children at home and has been without pay for over a month. (They haven't paid for his vacation time either.) He needs our help and compassion.
Let's be the community we all want to be a part of and stand up and help this caring, hardworking man who is facing a very difficult time.
Please give what you can. Every little bit helps.
This site has no fees other than the credit card transaction. All funds go directly to Albert’s bank account. If you would like to send him a message, click on where it says “Pam Choi for Albert” under the pictures on the home page. The email will only go to Albert. I will not see any correspondence or contribution information. Thank you all!
