I am currently disabled and unable to work due to lung disease. I have been off work since med Oct. 2015 due to double pneumonia. I was hospitalized for one week but I continued to experience lack of energy, etc. My primary doctor said because I was still experiencing lack of energy, shortness of breath and coughing, I was being referred to the Pulmonary Specialist. I have ongoing monthly bills, must pay my medical insurance premiums, plus I have extra hospital bills, and co-pays for each clinical visit. My doctor has now included other specialist that I must see; Rheumatology, Cardiology and Neurology. I would like to raise $45,000 for my expenses (bills). I am thanking you in advance for your kindness. Sincerely, N. Martin

Latest Update

A $125 contribution from 360 potential followers or viewers would help me in reaching my goal of $45,000 for medical expenses. I am thanking you all for your kindness and consideration.

I would just like to say from my observation I have noted that people will give to animals, (I have nothing against animals), they will give to people who lie online who are thugs; into drugs and all kinds of things. Also, celebrities who have had lots of money that blew it on booze and drugs, etc. They get a pass with funding and everyone. There lies the problem, PEOPLE WHO REALLY NEED HELP don't get the help. Then there are the wealthy followers, they don't really give. They want to be seen and noticed online; an ego thing. They could care less about what happens to someone in need. Everything has to be all about them. Most talk a good game but they really aren't contributing anything. The tendency is they forget that people bought their product, music, etc., for them to be wealthy. Even I like giving when I have it to give. One of my favorite charities is St. Jude Children's Hospital. I don't have extra money now, but I try to give what I can. Anyway, THANK YOU

Hi, I haven't posted an update in a while. Well I have had a lot on my mind to deal with. I have so many bills that I am trying to deal with; hospital bills, hospital co-pays, health insurance, school loans, utility bills, home care, prescription cost and now I have to have oxygen so that is added cost for my healthcare. But that is the reason that I have been worried and a little stressed out, my job sent a bill for my health insurance portion that I have to pay. The bill was $1,228.00 . This is the portion I will have to pay biweekly in order to continue coverage. My health insurance will not be subsidized. I have not found another comparable health insurance company that will not charge extra for an illness that is already in progress. Plus not to mention prescriptions, etc. So I thank the people who took the time to read my fund acct and updates but if some of you can find it in your heart to give, I would appreciate it very much.

Hello... I would have thought, I would have at least received $1,000 or more in a weeks time for my fund. Yet I have received nothing after one month. I guess the majority of givers are not interested in giving for medical causes. I don't know what I am going to do as far as my finances and paying my bills but my main focus will be on regaining and maintaining my health before the year end. I know I will have to seek and apply for another job elsewhere, but at least (God willing) I will be able to work and support myself. Regarding this fund account, maybe some of you that review this fund page will know how I feel by putting yourself in my place. Really thinking about what I am going through. Thank You

Edits for Edits posted on Mar. 22 1. I to do a juggling job when paying bills. 2. I also have to pay my medical insurance premiums for a portion of my insurance that was paid by my employer. It amounts to 129 per month and it has to be paid so I may continue going to the doctor. Edits for Mar. 22; 1:04 pm 1. Should be, drop in the bucket. 2. Should be, never in my life would I have thought I would have an illness where it is hard for me to breath and I have to deal with periodic coughing fits that make me very weak. 3. Anyway, I had to call and cancel the job interview because I had to travel over 92 miles to get there. I didn't trust my car driving that far and also my breathing was erratic and my heart was beating to fast from feeling irritated because I wanted to go back to work knowing I was not ready, but I need to pay my bills. However, I realized I need to focus on my health and getting myself better so when I do go back to work, I may do so without restrictions.

I have to apply for other positions whenever my doctor releases me from medical. The small amount of disability I receive (1,746.), is quickly paid out in bills each month. I have to do a juggling to pay my bills. I have to let some go to pay more pressing bills. For this update, I thought I would share some of my monthly bills with you: mortgage 780; HO Insurance 125; auto 479; auto insurance 168; CU 275; phone 75; Hospital I try to pay 200 on the bill each month; auto repair (unable to do) 600; tires needed 800; school loan interest 136; prescriptions and co-pays 250; groceries 125 month. Hope you can see why I have to juggle. So if some of you twitter fans can see it in your heart to donate anything you can it will be greatly appreciated. I will appreciate any donation from some of you millionaires and billionaires as well. Thank you, Nita

Hello, to the potential donates. I thought by now that I would have reached half my goal. Wow it is amazing how many people in this world who are billionaires and millionaires who should be reviewing this fund site on a regular basis. It is admirable that some of you give to large non-profit organizations but it would be nice for you to occasionally give to someone that although they have worked, needs a helping hand at least one time in their life. With all the money that you have, it is just a dope in the bucket for you, it will not break you. That being said, never in my life would I Mohave thought that I would be off work with a illness that prevents me from working. Last week (3/15/16) I attempted to go on a job interview. My doctor has not released me to go back to work yet but I thought I could just interview for the position because that is how bad I want to go back to work (currently on a waived right medical, my job is not being held for me). See next update...

I had my doctors appointment with the rheumatologist on 3/02/16. I had another walking test, strength test and then had lots of blood redrawn to test for MS, Colitis, Crohn's disease, Lupus, and some other things they deemed to test me for. I am so tired of the uncertainty. I still have the a bet of a cough and have asked my doctors if they could just focus on the one problem; my lungs and clear that problem to enable me to return to work. In the interim I am not sleeping well because I am having anxiety symptoms. I am not used to not doing anything or asking for help but I have bills that I must pay. This is my update and I hope their are people in the universe who understand my situation. Thank You again.

I have been reviewing my plum fund account every other day to check for any contribution(s). I have faith that I will reach my fund goal. I know there are a lot of people in this world who are kind and giving. These last four months have really been trying and stressful because I am not used to asking for help. I would rather be working and be able to be a blessing to someone else. I like giving myself and have always given to several non-profits. Towards the end of last year I was unable to give to each of my charities; Forgotten Harvest, Gleaners, Salvation Army, Good Will Industries, St. Jude for Children to name a few. I like giving because it makes me feel good. I am not a wealthy individual but I have worked hard throughout my career. However, I need a little help and hope that all who reads this can share a blessing for me. Thank You
