I am a 53 year old 100% disabled vet with more than 34 years in the Marine Corps. I have Ledderhose Disease (aka Plantar Fibromatosis) as well as back problems and nerve damage in my legs. This makes it very difficult to walk or drive.
I spend about 3-5 hours a day in traffic and would love to find something closer, but I have to make a certain amount in order to pay my ex-wife and have not been able to find something where I don't have to be on my feet all day. The courts don't seem to be concerned about my disabilities.
I have paid more than $30K in attorney fees and have been ordered to pay my ex-wife more than $60,000 over the next 4 years and have already been paying for 4 years. Because she will not work and become self-supporting, I am forced to spend time in traffic in order to meet my financial obligation. Being in the car causes a lot of pain on my back and legs and makes my situation worse.
I also need to have my dog's teeth pulled, as he is in pain and that is more than $800.
I would love to be able to help others who are in need or in difficult situations, but am not in a position to do so at this point. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and I will definitely pay it forward and help others who are in need.
