I was sick last year. Finally got a doctor to pay attention and got the much needed sinus surgery. I lost my job. My husband's tax liability from 2 years ago was brought to our attention. We've finally paid that off and found that this year we owe $5,000 in tax and penalties. I also got an additional bill from my surgery for and additional $2,000. And my husband has needed procedures on his eyes every month, at $1000 per procedure. We have exhausted our savings.
