My brother Sam, a police officer, and his wife Leanne are wonderful parents to 3 small children. In February of this year, Leanne was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Four months later Sam began experiencing excruciating headaches and was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Leanne underwent major surgery on her neck to remove her thyroid and many lymph nodes in her neck. She still has radiation treatment later this summer and follow up care afterwords to ensure the cancer is removed.
After multiple trips to the ER, Sam has been advised that he needs to have major surgery to remove the tumor from his brain. Sam's job has graciously allowed him to work in a light duty capacity, but this prevents him from working any over time. There are many unknown expenses ahead for Sam as he prepares for surgery.
During these trying months, Sam has used up his vacation and available sick time. Police officers normally work overtime in order to make ends meet, but he has missed this as well. Then there's the bills. Insurance doesn't cover the co-payments for every visit, deductibles, co-insurance payments, travel to the hospital (over an hour each away), and extra child care.
Please consider how you can help this wonderful Christian family.

We do not have much but if you will or wish, we can help with some baby milk (not formula) and maybe watch kids for a couple of hours for free.
