A great lady that I have come to know for many years now has become very ill and unable to work. I have set up this fund to see if we can get her any help to reduce the strain of a limited income and extremely high medical bills that she currently has to deal with. Her #1 goal is that she needs to get better and rest but we all know that is hard to do when you are faced with financial difficulties.
Below are a few pieces of information that she has shared with me and allowed me to pass on to you (in her own words):
Ask that if anyone knows my Aunt, Jean Tingley, to not burden her with the information. Please.
2. I had an outpatient surgery on Oct. 7, 2015 and was suppose to be back to work by Tuesday of the next week. Simple, right?
3. There were complications that led to 2 more surgeries in November, an infection requiring IV antibiotics, and a lengthy recovery due to the size and depth of the wound from the surgeries. It was about the size of a mini football.
4. Still recovering with home health nurse 3 times a week and weekly doctor's visit.
5. A combination of things have put a real strain on my finances. The insurance deductibles for 2 different plan years, my portion of the cost of the surgeries, and the ongoing medical bills, and my income being reduced to 60% have created a real budgeting challenge.
6. I am grateful for the disability payments and the insurance coverage.
7. I want to say that any amount that is given will be appreciated and all prayers for quick recovery accepted.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and please pass along to those you believe might help. Hopefully we all can help Nancy get some piece of mind during her recovery.
