This is an email from my friend Tin. Please open your heart to her and her baby:

"Hi Kate, I am messaging you to ask for help. As you know, we have been trying for 10 years for a second child. One month ago, our prayers were answered with a beautiful baby girl that we named Loren. The entire process was not easy and the struggles continue.

On April 29, 2016, I started to experience painful, pre-term contractions, and was rushed to the nearest hospital. I was informed by the doctors that they were going to try to stop the contractions so that the birth could be delayed. At 32 weeks, baby Loren would have a difficult time surviving because her organs were not yet fully developed.

Unfortunately, the contractions persisted, and on May 4, 2016, I passed out while at home, and was rushed to the emergency room. An emergency C-Section was performed which saved my life and more importantly baby Loren’s life.

Once delivered she was immediately placed in an incubator. She subsequently developed neonatal pneumonia, and was placed on IV antibiotics and oxygen.

We are both still in the hospital, fighting to recover. I believe seeing the pain in little Loren’s eyes, while in the incubator with all those tubes attached to her, has given me the strength and desire to recover from the emergency surgery, so that I can care for her.

We have been in the hospital for over one month. The medical expenses continue to pile up. Our savings are completely depleted. These complications were not anticipated, nor were they financially planned for. If you are able, we are kindly asking for some financial assistance to help us with our hospital bills. Please pray for us. God bless and thank you."
