My father, Robert Chavez a retired union carpenter (UBC Local 803) in Orange County for more than 25 years is in need of our support.
In early February after visiting the doctor for severe soreness in his ribs, it was discovered that Robert has a large growth on his liver. Even though he has insurance he still must pay a significant amount for medical costs. At the moment his insurance rate is so high he has opted to wait until March 1st for his new rate to begin in order to decrease the amount of financial burden for the expected medical costs. He has been unable to even have medical tests to determine what the growth is.
Currently he is in constant chronic pain which keeps him from laying down at all or sitting for long periods at a time. Since the beginning of February he only gets 2-3 hours of sleep each night due to the immense pain.
The picture above is from his 59th birthday just last month. He loves spending time with his granddaughter, but his pain keeps him from being able to play with her because he is constantly sleep deprived and in pain.
Please donate in order to support his medical costs so he can start treatment as soon as possible, as well as any costs incurred for any needed medical procedures. Whether you can give $5 or more, any amount is greatly appreciated by his loved ones.
