My Roxie had an unfortunate yet avoidable accident with chain link gate recently. Please ease the cost of her care if you can.
She was attempting to clear a low gate, there was construction nearby that spooked her and her pasture-mate. Only Roxie suffered injury while the other just traumatized. Our vet is trying to keep cost low. Her injury in on her left hind leg, up toward her groin/abdominal area. Her wound is progressing well and draining well on its own. These things tend to happen at the most unprepared moments. At the very least prayers for mist while preparing for further unexpected storms.
I am a first time horse mama, first emergency where death was a sure to be a reality if help didn't come in time. A lot of trauma around for those saw and aided. Please contribute whatever would be helpful in getting the edge off the matter.
