The Roberts lost their five-year-old son, Carter on September 22, 2018, to a two-year battle with AFM. During this time, they've been in full-on survival mode, often quite literally, which has required an insane amount of grit, commitment, and love for Carter and their two daughters, Mason and Tatum.
Although Carter will forever be with them, their lives will never be the same. We'd like to support them in this difficult time by funding a family vacation, so they can bond as a new family unit.
They are considering San Diego as a destination. Carter would have loved Legoland. However, the big pull to San Diego comes from Mason, who loves Distroller dolls and there happens to be only one physical store in the whole country and it's in San Diego. Thankfully, this destination has much more to offer. This family could use some time to relax, be together, play, and honor Carter's memory.
From beaches to the zoo, to Balboa Park or even a Padres game, we'd like to shower them with love and set them up for a fun, memorable time.
